Mile of Music 2019 (August 1-4)

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Mile of Music, August 1-4, 2019 (also known as Mile 7)! Without your help, we would not be able to help make the music happen. With 900+ live music sets over 4 days in 60 venues, your help is truly appreciated. Volunteer efforts for 2019 are supported by Country Financial. This year, to show our appreciation for your help in making this one-of-a-kind event happen, we will be thanking you in the following ways:
1) A new volunteer lounge is being created by Country Financial in the Founders Room of the Fox Cities P.A.C...just for you!
2) A Volunteer Appreciation Evening will be held on Wednesday, August 7 in conjunction with Concerts in the Courtyard. It will be a chance for The Mile Team to say thank in-person!
3) A cool, fun volunteer shirt for you to wear during your shift and keep as a souvenir!

We are MOST IN NEED of the following shifts for 2019: Beverage Sales/Wristbands, Main Stage Positions, Perimeter

Most shifts for Mile 7 are between 4 and 6 hours.

An in-person volunteer orientation will be held on Tuesday evening, July 23, and the orientation will again be held at the Red Lion Hotel Paper Valley at 6pm. An online Facebook Live orientation will be held at a different date, and will be archived within our Facebook Group.

Join the Facebook group! Search "Mile of Music Volunteers" and request to join. Once you register to volunteer, you will be approved by an administrator.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be guaranteed a t-shirt in your preferred size, please register to volunteer by MONDAY, JULY 1.

NOTE: If you are one of the first 400 volunteers to sign up, you will receive a t-shirt. As stated above, there is no guarantee on size if you sign up after July 1.

MILE 7 VOLUNTEER POLICIES:
-Due to reported issues at past festivals, drinking (alcohol) is not tolerated during volunteer shifts.
-Your volunteer t-shirt must be worn during shifts, but should not be worn after shifts. Please bring an extra t-shirt for after your shift! If you need a place to change after your shift, visit the Volunteer Lounge at HQ, thanks to Country Financial. There will be private restrooms located near the lounge.
-You are welcome to bring a portable snack to your shift! NEW FOR 2019: Be sure to visit the Volunteer Lounge for a bite to each before or after your shift, thanks to Country Financial. More details to come.
-Dress comfortably/for the weather during your shift. Comfortable shoes will make all the difference!
-Please arrive for your shift 15 MINUTES EARLY so you can orient yourself to the role you are taking over.
-Remember: You are the face of Mile of Music for many attendees! Smile, be kind, be courteous and most of all, HAVE FUN!

A few (other) things to note:
-The exact shift times of these jobs may change a bit as the Mile 7 schedule is finalized. You will be notified of any changes to your shift.
-Shifts may be added throughout July as we address needs that are essential for the festival.
-Once a shift disappears from the lineup, that means it has been filled! We encourage you to sign up right away if you are looking for specific shifts.
-You will be asked to read our Mile 7 waiver before you confirm your shift(s). Please note that you will need to sign this in person when you check in at Festival Headquarters (HQ).

If you have changes to your schedule, PLEASE let us know ASAP! Email volunteer@mileofmusic.com. We will do the same if there are changes from our end.
